A teacher made a movie called the "Peace Tree" which was shown at the Tribeca Film Festival, in New York. The film depicts three girls: two Muslims and one Christian and how they helped their families welcome new culture and religion to their families.
To recognize the "Peace Tree", the children's department at Angus Glen has made their own peace tree celebrating all religions and cultures. It is on display in by the fireplace, in the lower level of the Children's Department. Children have been working on their choice of symbols, all week long.
Some children take them home and others, hang them on our tree.
Come and take a look at their work!
