Over the years, many of the people I have worked with have immigrated from other countries. In their homeland, they have held many important positions. Here they are underemployed.
There are programs available to help them get recognition for their credentials but many are reluctant because of costs, the need for further testing, time, etc.
We have many underemployed teachers and doctors working in jobs that they are overqualified to do.
How can we remedy this type of employment discrimination?
